Ingredients
Ingredients
- 3 russet potatoes (approximately 300 grams each)
- 1½ tablespoons oil (such as olive oil or vegetable oil)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (204°C) following the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure even cooking.
- Prepare the Potatoes: Thoroughly wash and dry the russet potatoes. Rub each potato all over with oil, then season generously with salt and pepper. Pierce each potato once in the middle with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking.
- Cook the Potatoes: Place the prepared potatoes in the air fryer basket, then insert the basket into the air fryer. Cook for 40 minutes. If your potatoes are smaller or larger, adjust the cooking time accordingly.
- Check for Doneness: After 40 minutes, test the potatoes by inserting a knife into the center. If it slides in and out easily, the potatoes are done. If resistance is felt, cook for an additional 5-10 minutes and check again.
- Serve: Remove the potatoes from the air fryer, allow to cool slightly, then cut open and add your favorite toppings like butter, sour cream, cheese, or chives for a delicious side dish.
Notes
- Choosing russet potatoes with similar size helps ensure even cooking.
- You can use olive oil or any neutral oil for coating the potatoes.
- Adjust cooking time depending on potato size and your air fryer model.
- For extra crispy skin, rub potatoes with a little more oil before cooking.
- Let potatoes rest for a few minutes after cooking for the best texture.
