Ingredients
Chicken Tenders
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken tenderloins
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- Oil spray (for air fryer basket)
- Chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Coat Chicken: Add chicken tenderloins to a medium-sized bowl and pour in olive oil. Toss lightly to coat all pieces evenly with oil. Sprinkle paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and oregano over the chicken. Toss gently again until the chicken is fully coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Prepare Air Fryer: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil to prevent sticking. Arrange the seasoned chicken tenders in a single layer inside the basket, ensuring they do not overlap to allow even cooking.
- Initial Cooking: Close the air fryer and set the temperature to 380°F. Cook the chicken tenders for 7 minutes. This allows the initial heating and core cooking of the chicken.
- Flip and Continue Cooking: Carefully open the air fryer basket and flip each chicken tender over to the other side. Close the basket and continue cooking at 380°F for an additional 3 to 5 minutes. Check the internal temperature after cooking; chicken is done when it reaches 165°F.
- Rest and Serve: Remove the cooked chicken tenders from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes to allow juices to redistribute. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired before serving.
Notes
- Ensure chicken tenders are of similar size for even cooking.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket to achieve crispy results.
- Use a meat thermometer to verify the internal temperature reaches 165°F for safe consumption.
- Adjust seasoning quantities according to taste preferences.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
