Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread (about 8-inches long)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (minced, plus more for garnish)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the bread: Slice the French bread in half lengthwise and place it cut side up on your work surface. This creates the perfect base for the garlic butter mixture.
- Make the garlic butter mixture: In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, olive oil, minced garlic, minced parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese if using. Mix thoroughly to ensure all flavors are well integrated.
- Spread the mixture: Evenly spread the prepared garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread, ensuring full coverage for maximum flavor.
- Prepare the air fryer: Spray the air fryer basket lightly with oil spray to prevent sticking. Place the bread cut side up into the basket. If necessary, cut the bread to fit the air fryer basket properly.
- Cook in the air fryer: Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and crispy on the edges.
- Serve: Remove from the air fryer, slice into desired pieces, garnish with additional fresh parsley if preferred, and enjoy immediately while warm and flavorful.
Notes
- Using softened butter makes it easier to mix with the garlic and olive oil.
- Adjust the garlic quantity to taste if you prefer a milder or stronger garlic flavor.
- If your air fryer is small, cut the bread into smaller pieces to fit comfortably without overcrowding.
- Parmesan cheese is optional but adds a nice savory, cheesy flavor.
- Serve immediately for best texture; reheating may cause the bread to lose crispiness.
