Ingredients
Steak Bites
- 2 lb Steak (Sirloin or Ribeye, cut into 1-inch bites)
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
Potatoes
- 1.5 lb Baby Gold Potatoes, quartered
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Oil (for air frying)
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 2 oz Melted Butter
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat and Season Potatoes: Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F). In a large bowl, toss the quartered baby gold potatoes with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and oil until evenly coated.
- Cook Potatoes: Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 10 minutes to get them crispy and tender.
- Marinate Steak Bites: While the potatoes cook, place the steak chunks in a bowl and toss them with soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper to marinate and develop flavor.
- Add Steak to Air Fryer: After the initial 10 minutes, open the air fryer basket and push the potatoes to the edges or shake them gently to create space in the center. Arrange the steak bites in a single layer in the middle of the basket.
- Cook Steak and Potatoes Together: Air fry the steak and potatoes together for an additional 6–8 minutes, checking at 6 minutes to ensure the steak is cooked to medium-rare or medium, avoiding overcooking which causes toughness.
- Prepare Garlic Butter Sauce: In a small bowl, mix melted butter with minced garlic and chopped fresh parsley until well combined. The residual heat will mellow the garlic’s sharpness while releasing fragrant flavors.
- Toss and Serve: Transfer the cooked steak bites and potatoes to a large bowl, pour the garlic butter sauce over the top, and toss immediately to evenly coat. Serve hot and enjoy your meal!
Notes
- Use sirloin or ribeye for the best tenderness and flavor in the steak bites.
- Check steak doneness at 6 minutes to avoid overcooking; adjust cooking time based on preferred meat doneness and bite size.
- Shaking or pushing potatoes aside helps even cooking when adding the steak bites midway.
- Garlic butter adds rich flavor, but can be omitted for a lighter dish.
- Make sure to cut potatoes into similar-sized quarters for uniform cooking.
