A creamy and nutrient-rich avocado fruit smoothie combining fresh banana, avocado, baby spinach, mango, and vegan vanilla protein powder, blended with plant-based milk for a delicious, healthy breakfast or snack option.

  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients

Fruits and Vegetables

  • ½ banana (fresh or frozen)
  • ½ avocado (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup baby spinach (lightly packed)
  • ½ cup frozen mango (cubed)

Protein and Liquids

  • 1 scoop vegan vanilla protein powder (optional, recommended Sunwarrior brand)
  • 1 cup plant milk (almond milk preferred, but any plant milk works)

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients: Gather all ingredients and measure them carefully. If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, plan to add a sweetener later.
  2. Add ingredients to blender: Pour the plant milk into a high-speed blender first, then add banana, avocado, spinach, frozen mango, and protein powder if using. Add any optional add-ins at this stage.
  3. Blend: Blend on high speed until all ingredients are smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more plant milk to reach desired consistency.
  4. Adjust sweetness: Taste the smoothie and blend in one date or your preferred sweetener if needed to enhance flavor.
  5. Serve: Pour the smoothie into a glass or jar and enjoy immediately. The smoothie is best fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.

Notes

  • Use frozen banana and mango to achieve a chilled, smoothie-like texture without adding ice.
  • Choosing a high-speed blender ensures a smooth, creamy consistency.
  • The vegan protein powder is optional but adds extra protein for a more filling smoothie.
  • Plant milk can be substituted with any type of milk according to preference or dietary restrictions.
  • Consume fresh for best taste and nutritional benefits; storage up to 24 hours is possible if refrigerated.
