This Baked Salmon with Avocado Mash is a simple yet gourmet-tasting dinner recipe that combines perfectly baked, seasoned salmon fillets with a fresh and creamy avocado mash. • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Avocado Mash

  • 2 avocados, mashed
  • 1 lime, zest grated
  • 1 lime, juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped dill, to taste
  • 1/2 red onion, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the salmon.
  2. Season Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a baking dish. Sprinkle them evenly with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Drizzle the fillets with extra virgin olive oil to coat.
  3. Bake Salmon: Put the baking dish in the oven and bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through and flaky.
  4. Prepare Avocado Mash: While the salmon bakes, mash the avocados in a bowl. Add lime zest and fresh lime juice, then season with salt and mix in chopped dill thoroughly.
  5. Assemble and Serve: Once the salmon is done baking, remove from the oven. Top each fillet generously with the avocado mash mixture, then sprinkle chopped red onion on top before serving.

Notes

  • Use ripe avocados for a creamy and flavorful mash.
  • Adjust cayenne pepper to control the spice level to your preference.
  • Salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  • Serve immediately for best taste and texture.
  • This recipe is suitable for those following gluten-free, dairy-free, Whole30, and low-carb diets.
