Ready in just 15 minutes, Bunny Bait is an ideal no-bake snack for kids and adults alike.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

Snack Mix

  • 2 cups corn Chex cereal (or rice Chex)
  • 1 cup mini pretzel twists (or pretzel sticks)
  • 2 cups Cap’n Crunch cereal (without berries)
  • 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios cereal (or other toasted oat cereal)
  • 1 cup pastel M&M’s (or other candy-coated chocolate)

Chocolate Coating

  • 3 cups white chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare: Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper, setting it aside to use later for spreading the snack mix.
  2. Combine: In a very large bowl, thoroughly mix together the corn Chex cereal, mini pretzel twists, Cap’n Crunch cereal, Honey Nut Cheerios, and pastel M&M’s, ensuring even distribution of all ingredients.
  3. Melt: Place the white chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, then stir. Microwave again for 25 seconds and stir until the mixture is completely smooth. If necessary, microwave for an additional 10 seconds to achieve a fully melted and glossy consistency.
  4. Mix: Pour the melted white chocolate over the cereal mixture. Quickly but gently stir to coat all the ingredients evenly with the white chocolate.
  5. Harden: Spread the coated mixture evenly onto the prepared parchment-lined sheet pan. Let it sit at room temperature or refrigerate for about 10–20 minutes until the white chocolate hardens. Once firm, break into pieces and serve.

Notes

  • You can substitute any of the cereals with your favorites for varied texture and flavor.
  • Be sure to stir quickly after pouring the melted chocolate to prevent it from hardening too soon.
  • Store the Bunny Bait in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain crispiness.
  • For a festive look, use pastel M&M’s or candy-coated chocolates matching your theme or season.
