Ingredients
For the Chicken Burger Patties
- 2 lbs ground chicken
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
- 1 oz ranch seasoning mix
- 3 garlic cloves (smashed and minced)
- 1/2 cup finely diced onion
- 1/2 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
For Assembling the Burgers
- Burger buns
- Bacon strips
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Ranch dressing
- Additional vegetables of choice (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken Burger Patties: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, bread crumbs, ranch seasoning, minced garlic, diced onion, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Shape the Patties: Cover a baking sheet or large cutting board with parchment paper. Shape the meat mixture into evenly sized burger patties. Prepare all patties before cooking to ensure they cook evenly.
- Preheat the Pan: Heat a large cooking pan over medium heat and add a small amount of cooking oil to prevent sticking.
- Cook the Burgers: Place the patties in the pan and cook them for 6-8 minutes on each side. Cooking time may vary depending on patty size. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and they are golden brown.
- Prepare Toppings: While the patties cook, cook bacon strips until crispy. Wash and slice lettuce and tomatoes. Gather ranch dressing and any additional veggies desired.
- Assemble the Burgers: Toast the burger buns if desired. Layer each bun with a cooked chicken patty, bacon strips, lettuce, tomato slices, and a drizzle of ranch dressing. Add any extra vegetables as preferred.
- Serve: Serve the assembled cheddar ranch chicken burgers immediately while hot and enjoy!
Notes
- For best results, do not overcrowd the pan while cooking patties to ensure even cooking and a nice sear.
- Use a meat thermometer to confirm chicken is fully cooked to safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Substitute ground turkey if preferred for a leaner option.
- Add sliced pickles or red onion for extra flavor layers.
- Leftover patties can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for longer storage.
