Ingredients
Potatoes
- 3-4 medium russet potatoes
Seasoning & Coating
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp thyme
- ½ tsp chili flakes
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Slice Potatoes: Wash the potatoes thoroughly and slice each lengthwise into 6-8 evenly sized wedges to ensure consistent cooking and crispiness.
- Parboil Wedges: Place the potato wedges in a large pot filled with salted water and simmer for 8-10 minutes until they are just fork-tender. Drain well and allow them to dry completely to help achieve crispness when air frying.
- Season Wedges: Transfer the dried wedges to a large bowl. Drizzle olive oil over them and toss with garlic powder, paprika, chili flakes, thyme, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Add Parmesan: Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese onto the wedges and toss gently again to combine all flavors thoroughly.
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (approximately 3-5 minutes) to prepare for cooking.
- Air Fry Wedges: Place the seasoned potato wedges in the air fryer basket in a single layer to ensure even cooking. Air fry for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even crisping. Monitor for desired golden brown color and texture.
- Serve: Once cooked and crispy, garnish the wedges with additional chopped parsley and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Make sure the potato wedges are completely dry after parboiling to ensure crispiness.
- Cooking times may vary depending on the model and size of your air fryer, so check frequently toward the end of cooking.
- You can adjust the seasoning quantities based on your taste preference.
- For extra crispiness, feel free to spray a light mist of oil before air frying.
- These wedges are best enjoyed fresh right out of the air fryer.
