Ingredients
Ingredients
- 9 ounces refrigerated cheese or prosciutto tortellini
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Cooking spray (for air fryer basket)
Instructions
- Soften the tortellini: Place the refrigerated tortellini in a large bowl and pour boiling water over them until fully covered. Let them soak for 3 minutes to soften, then drain thoroughly.
- Season the tortellini: Return the drained tortellini to the bowl and add olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and grated Parmesan. Gently toss with a spatula until all tortellini are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to preheat at 375°F (190°C) to prepare for cooking.
- Prepare the air fryer basket: Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Air fry the tortellini: Place the tortellini in a single layer in the basket (cook in batches if necessary). Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, tossing halfway through to ensure even crisping on all sides.
- Keep warm if needed: If cooking in batches, transfer cooked tortellini to a warm oven set at 200°F (93°C) to keep them hot until all are done.
- Serve: Serve the crispy air-fried tortellini immediately with your favorite marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
- Use refrigerated tortellini for best results; frozen tortellini will require adjustment of soaking time.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even crispiness.
- Feel free to experiment with different seasoning blends or cheeses to customize the flavor.
- Ensure tortellini is well-drained after soaking to prevent sogginess during air frying.
- This snack is best enjoyed immediately to maintain crisp texture.
