Fruit and Nut Toppings

- 2 tablespoons peanuts (crushed)
- ¼ cup apples (diced)
- 1 tablespoon pecans (chopped)
- ½ banana (sliced)
- 1 tablespoon hazelnuts (crushed)
- ¼ cup blueberries
- 1 tablespoon almonds (chopped)

Flavor Enhancers and Sweet Toppings
- 1 tablespoon strawberry jam
- 1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon Nutella
- 1 tablespoon chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon chocolate chips (additional)
- ¼ cup shredded coconut
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (additional)
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: Place all ingredients including oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, sweeteners, vanilla extract, salt, fruits, nuts, and flavorings into a large glass container and mix thoroughly until well combined to ensure all components are evenly distributed.
- Refrigerate: Cover the container tightly with a lid or plastic wrap to prevent contamination and place it in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours, preferably overnight, allowing the oats to soak and soften while flavors meld together.
- Serve and Adjust: In the morning, uncover the container and enjoy your creamy overnight oats directly. If the mixture is too thick, thin it out by stirring in a little more milk or water to reach your desired consistency. Optionally, add extra toppings fresh for added texture and flavor.
Notes
- You can customize the sweetener according to your taste or dietary preference, using honey, maple syrup, or brown sugar.
- Feel free to swap milk types including dairy, almond, oat, or soy milk for different flavor profiles or dietary needs.
- Overnight oats can be prepared in individual jars or a large container depending on your convenience and serving size.
- Adding nut butters and chocolate chips makes this recipe a more indulgent treat; reduce or omit if preferred for a healthier version.
- Leftover overnight oats will keep refrigerated for up to 3 days, making it a great meal prep option.
