Ingredients
Fries
- 3 large potatoes
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 2-3 tablespoons oil
Toppings
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- ⅔ cup shredded parmesan cheese
- ½ tablespoon parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Potatoes: Peel the 3 large potatoes and cut them into your desired fry size, whether shoestring or thicker cuts.
- Season the Fries: Place the cut fries into a mixing bowl. Pour 2 tablespoons of oil over them and toss to coat thoroughly. Add salt and pepper to taste. If needed, add up to 1 more tablespoon of oil to ensure even coating.
- Air Fry the Potatoes: Arrange the fries evenly in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. Air fry at 370°F (188°C) for 17 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking to ensure even crisping.
- Add Garlic and Cheese: Once fries are cooked to golden crisp perfection, remove them from the air fryer. Immediately top with the minced garlic and shredded parmesan cheese so the heat slightly melts the cheese and infuses the garlic flavor.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle the fries with fresh parsley for color and added freshness. Serve hot for best taste and texture.
Notes
- For extra crispy fries, soak cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before drying and seasoning.
- You can adjust the amount of garlic and parmesan cheese according to your taste preference.
- Use fresh parsley for garnish to add a burst of color and fresh herb flavor.
- Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
- These fries are best enjoyed immediately but can be reheated in the air fryer for 3-5 minutes to regain crispiness.
