Ingredients
Steak
- 2 steaks, strip, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 teaspoons steak seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Vegetables
- 1 yellow onion, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 2 zucchini, chopped
- 10 ounces grape tomatoes, halved
Pasta and Sauce
- 18 ounces cheese tortellini, fresh
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- 3 tablespoons parmesan cheese, shredded, plus more for garnish
- ¼ cup Buffalo Wild Wings parmesan garlic sauce
- Parsley, fresh chopped, for optional garnish
Instructions
- Season the steak: Season the strip steak pieces with 2 teaspoons of steak seasoning and set aside to let the flavors meld.
- Cook the steak: Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned steak pieces and cook for 2 minutes without stirring to allow browning. Stir and continue cooking for another 2 minutes until the steak is golden brown on all sides.
- Sauté the vegetables: Add the sliced yellow onion, yellow bell pepper, and halved grape tomatoes to the skillet with the steak. Stir well and cook for about 5 minutes until the vegetables have softened and released their flavors.
- Add tortellini and broth: Pour in the fresh cheese tortellini and ¼ cup chicken broth. Cover the skillet and let cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the tortellini is tender and cooked through.
- Combine sauce and cheese: Stir in 3 tablespoons shredded parmesan cheese and ¼ cup Buffalo Wild Wings parmesan garlic sauce until everything is well combined and heated through.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and additional parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately hot for a delicious and comforting meal.
Notes
- You can substitute strip steak with sirloin or ribeye for equally tender results.
- Using fresh cheese tortellini yields the best texture; frozen can be used but adjust cooking time accordingly.
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes with the vegetables.
- If Buffalo Wild Wings parmesan garlic sauce is unavailable, substitute with your favorite garlic parmesan sauce or a mix of garlic butter and parmesan cheese.
- Adding zucchini enhances the vegetable content and adds freshness but can be omitted or replaced with spinach or mushrooms.
- Make sure to not overcook the tortellini to avoid a mushy texture.
