Ingredients
Steak Bites
- 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into small 1” cubes
- 1 tablespoon oil of choice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3-4 garlic cloves, minced or crushed
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the Pan: Heat oil in a large heavy-duty skillet or cast iron pan over medium-high heat for at least 1 minute to ensure it’s hot enough for searing.
- Season the Steak: Generously season the sirloin steak cubes with salt and pepper to enhance the flavor before cooking.
- Sear the Steak: Place the steak cubes in the hot pan in a single layer without overcrowding. If necessary, cook in batches. Cook each side for about 2 minutes until seared and dark brown for the perfect crust.
- Make Garlic Butter Sauce: Remove the steak from the pan and add butter along with minced or crushed garlic. Stir the garlic in the butter for about 30 seconds or until it turns light brown and fragrant.
- Combine Steak and Sauce: Turn off the heat and return the steak bites to the pan. Stir well to coat the steak evenly with the garlic butter sauce.
- Serve: Serve the garlic steak bites immediately with warm mashed sweet potatoes, grilled or steamed vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the pan when searing the steak to ensure a proper crust and even cooking.
- Use a heavy-duty skillet or cast iron pan for best heat retention and searing results.
- Adjust garlic quantity according to your preference for a milder or stronger garlic flavor.
- Steak bites cook quickly; watch carefully to avoid overcooking for tender results.
