Ingredients
For the Cheeseburger Filling
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
For the Bombs
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (16.3 oz) – makes 8 biscuits
For the Garlic-Parmesan Butter
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to ensure easy cleanup and prevent sticking.
- Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and minced garlic. Break up the beef as it cooks. Season with onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 6-8 minutes until the beef is browned and fragrant.
- Drain and Mix Cheese: Drain off any excess grease from the skillet to maintain a clean flavor. Let the beef cool slightly, then stir in the shredded cheddar, shredded mozzarella, and softened cream cheese. Mix until all cheeses have melted into a gooey filling.
- Prepare Biscuit Dough: Flatten each biscuit dough piece into approximately a 4-inch circle. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the cheesy beef mixture into the center of each circle. Be careful not to overfill to prevent bursting during baking.
- Seal the Bombs: Gently pull the edges of the dough up around the filling and pinch firmly together at the top to seal. Place each sealed bomb seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Chill the Bombs: Refrigerate the assembled bombs for about 15 minutes to help them hold their shape and bake evenly.
- Make Garlic-Parmesan Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, grated Parmesan, chopped fresh parsley, and garlic powder. Stir until well mixed.
- Brush with Garlic Butter and Bake: Generously brush the tops and sides of each bomb with the garlic Parmesan butter using a pastry brush. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and fragrant.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the bombs to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before serving. They are best enjoyed warm with gooey melted cheese inside.
