Ingredients
Cheese
- 1 (8-ounce) wheel Brie cheese
Toppings
- 1/4 cup pistachios, roughly chopped
- 1-2 tablespoons hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a small baking sheet or baking dish with parchment paper and place the 8-ounce wheel of Brie cheese in the center.
- Score the Brie: Using a sharp knife, carefully slice a grid pattern across the top of the Brie. Make 1-inch squares with cuts about 1/4-inch deep to allow flavors to penetrate and cheese to melt evenly.
- Add Pistachios and Hot Honey: Roughly chop 1/4 cup of pistachios and sprinkle them evenly over the top of the Brie. Drizzle 1 to 2 tablespoons of hot honey over the pistachios to add a sweet and spicy kick.
- Bake: Place the prepared Brie in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the cheese is warm, soft, and melted underneath the toppings.
- Serve: Remove the baked Brie from the oven and serve immediately with crackers or slices of crusty bread for dipping and spreading.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of hot honey to control the heat level.
- Try adding fresh thyme or rosemary for an herbal note.
- Use a soft Brie, not the double cream varieties, for best melting results.
- Serve as an appetizer or party snack while still warm for best texture and flavor.
- Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator and consume within 2 days; reheat gently before serving.
