Learn how to make a refreshing lavender latte that can be enjoyed hot or iced. This simple and customizable recipe blends rich espresso with floral lavender syrup and creamy milk, perfect for a cozy morning or a cool afternoon treat.

  • Total Time: 5 mins
  • Yield: 1 serving

Ingredients

Espresso

  • 2 espresso shots (2 ounces)

Lavender Syrup

  • 1 to 3 teaspoons lavender syrup, to taste

Milk

  • 1 cup (8 ounces) milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare the milk: For the hot lavender latte, steam or froth the milk until it reaches between 150-160°F, using a steamer or heat the milk in a saucepan until hot and then froth with a milk frother. For the iced version, no heating is required; simply use chilled milk.
  2. Mix espresso and lavender syrup: For the hot latte, combine the espresso shots with 1 to 3 teaspoons of lavender syrup in a mug and stir briefly to blend the flavors evenly. For the iced latte, combine the milk and lavender syrup in a serving glass and stir gently.
  3. Assemble the drink: For the hot latte, pour the frothed milk into the espresso and syrup mixture, pouring into the center to create a velvety texture. For the iced latte, fill the glass with ice to the top, then pour the espresso over the ice and stir to combine everything well.
  4. Serve and enjoy: Serve the hot lavender latte immediately while warm, or serve the iced version cold. Enjoy your aromatic and comforting lavender latte!

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of lavender syrup according to your taste preference, starting with 1 teaspoon and increasing up to 3 teaspoons for a stronger floral flavor.
  • For a dairy-free option, substitute the milk with almond, oat, or soy milk.
  • Use freshly brewed espresso shots for the best flavor. If you do not have an espresso machine, strong brewed coffee can be a substitute though flavor will differ.
  • When steaming or heating milk, avoid overheating to prevent a burnt taste.
  • If making iced latte, use cold milk and fresh ice to keep the drink refreshing without dilution.
