Ingredients
Fruits
- 1 medium Dragon Fruit
- 1 large Mango (or 2 small mangoes)
Optional
- Sweetener of choice (honey, agave, sugar) to taste
Instructions
- Cut mango: Begin by slicing the mango sides to expose the core. Locate the flattened mango seed core and cut close to it to separate the two sides of the fruit from the core.
- Remove mango core flesh: Peel the seed core strip and carefully cut around the core to remove the mango pulp. Then, peel the two mango sides you previously cut off, collecting all the mango flesh into a bowl.
- Prepare dragon fruit: Cut off the top of the dragon fruit and then halve it. Using a spoon, scoop out the fruit flesh from the skin, leaving the bright pink skin behind. Add the dragon fruit pulp to the bowl with the mango.
- Blend fruits: Place the collected mango and dragon fruit pulp into a blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Add sweetener if desired, blending briefly to combine.
- Serve: Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately for the freshest flavor and best texture.
Notes
- The sweetener is optional; if your fruit is ripe and sweet, you might not need any additional sugar.
- For a colder smoothie, you can add ice cubes or blend with frozen mango and dragon fruit pieces.
- To add more nutrition, feel free to include a splash of milk, yogurt, or plant-based alternatives before blending.
