Ingredients
For the Garlic Butter
- ¼ cup butter (softened)
- ½ teaspoon garlic paste
- 2 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes
For the Sliders
- 24 Kings Hawaiian Rolls
- 24 frozen meatballs (thawed)
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375ºF (190ºC) to ensure it reaches the perfect temperature for baking the sliders evenly.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, garlic paste, chopped fresh parsley, dried basil, dried thyme, salt, and red pepper flakes. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and uniform in texture.
- Prepare Rolls: Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and place the 24 Hawaiian rolls in the pan, keeping them tightly together.
- Hollow Out Rolls: Using a serrated knife, carefully cut a hole out of the middle of each roll to create space for the filling.
- Spread Garlic Butter: Using a butter knife, spread the prepared garlic butter generously inside and around the hollowed-out center of each roll.
- Initial Bake: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 6-8 minutes or until the garlic butter has melted and the rolls are slightly toasted.
- Mix Cheeses: While the rolls bake, combine the shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheeses in a small bowl, mixing evenly.
- Add Cheese to Rolls: Evenly distribute half of the cheese mixture into the holes of the hollowed-out rolls.
- Add Meatballs and Sauce: Press one thawed meatball into each cheese-filled hole, then spoon a small amount of marinara sauce over each meatball.
- Top with Remaining Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining cheese mixture over the top of all the rolls to cover them evenly.
- Final Bake: Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted, bubbly, and slightly golden on top.
- Serve Warm: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving these tasty, melty meatball parmesan sliders warm for the best flavor experience.
Notes
- Use frozen meatballs that are thawed completely before assembling for even cooking.
- Feel free to add extra red pepper flakes if you prefer more heat in the garlic butter.
- You can substitute fresh garlic minced instead of garlic paste if preferred.
- Make sure to tightly pack the Hawaiian rolls together in the pan to help them hold shape while baking.
- Leftover sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for best results.
