Ingredients
Crust
- 1 package Oreo’s (double stuffed)
- ½ cup Butter (melted)
Cream Cheese Layer
- 8 ounces Cream Cheese (room temperature)
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 16 ounces Cool Whip (1 tub)
Chocolate Pudding Layer
- 2 (3.9 ounce) packages Chocolate Pudding Mix (2 boxes)
- 3 cups Milk (cold)
Top Layer
- 16 ounces Cool Whip (1 tub)
- Optional: Oreo crumbs for topping
Instructions
- Prepare Oreo Crust: Using a food processor, pulse the Oreos in batches until they become fine crumbs. Mix the Oreo crumbs with the melted butter in a bowl until combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9×13 baking dish to form an even crust. Refrigerate to set.
- Make Cream Cheese Layer: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add half of the powdered sugar and mix until combined, then add the rest and mix fully incorporated. Fold in one tub of Cool Whip gently with a spatula until evenly combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the chilled Oreo crust and return to the refrigerator.
- Prepare Chocolate Pudding: Whisk the chocolate pudding mix into the cold milk until smooth. Allow it to thicken for 3 to 5 minutes, then pour evenly over the cream cheese layer.
- Add Top Layer: Spread the remaining tub of Cool Whip on top of the pudding layer evenly. Optionally, sprinkle some Oreo crumbs over the top for garnish.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the assembled dessert for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow it to set and the flavors to meld. Slice into squares and serve chilled.
Notes
- For best texture, ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing.
- Double stuffed Oreos work best for richness and flavor in the crust.
- You can customize by adding chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips as toppings.
- If you don’t have a food processor, place Oreo cookies in a sealed bag and crush with a rolling pin.
- This dessert is best served chilled and holds well for up to 3 days refrigerated.
