Ingredients
Chicken Filling
- 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Wraps
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 tablespoons butter (for toasting the wraps)
Instructions
- Prepare the filling: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in the shredded chicken, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper, mixing well to combine all the flavors thoroughly.
- Make it cheesy: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the softened cream cheese until it melts and becomes smooth and creamy, coating the chicken mixture evenly. Remove the skillet from heat and fold in the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese, allowing the residual heat to melt the cheese slightly.
- Assemble the wraps: Lay each flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spoon an even amount of the cheesy chicken mixture onto the center of each tortilla. Fold the sides over and roll tightly into wraps to encase the filling completely.
- Toast the wraps: In a clean skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down in the skillet and cook until the bottom is golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Carefully flip each wrap and toast the other side until equally crispy and golden, about another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot: Remove the wraps from the skillet and slice them diagonally. Serve immediately to enjoy the warm, melty, and cheesy goodness in every bite.
Notes
- Use leftover cooked chicken or rotisserie chicken for convenience.
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili flakes to the filling.
- Substitute flour tortillas with whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas if preferred.
- Serve with a fresh side salad or your favorite dipping sauce for a complete meal.
- Leftover wraps can be reheated in a skillet or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
