- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground nutmeg
- 4 Oreo Cookies, crushed
Toppings
- Whipped Cream
- Crushed Oreos
Instructions
- Prepare Oreo Pie Crust: Make the Oreo pie crust according to the Picky Palate recipe instructions and allow it to cool completely, forming the sturdy base for your cheesecake.
- Make Cheesecake Layer: In a medium mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese, 1 tablespoon heavy cream, and 1 tablespoon granulated sugar until smooth and well combined. Gently fold in the 4 ounces of whipped cream topping to keep the mixture light and fluffy. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled Oreo crust.
- Prepare Oreo Pumpkin Layer: In another medium bowl, combine 1 cup pumpkin puree, the entire 3.4 ounce package of instant vanilla pudding mix, 3/4 cup heavy cream, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg. Beat or stir well until everything is thoroughly mixed and smooth. Fold in the 4 crushed Oreo cookies for added texture. Spread this mixture carefully over the cheesecake layer.
- Chill the Cheesecake: Place the assembled cheesecake in the refrigerator and chill for at least 3 hours to set properly and develop flavors.
- Serve with Toppings: Before serving, top the cheesecake with generous mounds of whipped cream and sprinkle with additional crushed Oreo cookies for decoration and extra crunch.
Notes
- This cheesecake requires no baking, making it quick and easy to prepare.
- Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for a smooth cheesecake layer.
- Use canned pumpkin puree (such as Libby’s) for best pumpkin flavor and consistency.
- Allow the pie crust to cool completely before adding layers to prevent sogginess.
- Chilling for at least 3 hours is essential for proper setting; overnight chilling enhances flavor.
- For a thicker crust, you can use an additional Oreo crust or add melted butter to bind it firmer.
