This easy no-bake Pistachio Tiramisu recipe combines espresso-soaked ladyfingers with a creamy mascarpone pistachio filling. Topped with crunchy chopped pistachios, it’s a delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert, perfect for any occasion and requires only a few simple steps before chilling to set.

  • Total Time: 4 hours 19 minutes
  • Yield: 9 servings

Ingredients

Espresso Mixture

  • 1½ cups espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • 1 tablespoon pistachio butter
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

Mascarpone Pistachio Cream

  • 1 (8-ounce) tub mascarpone cheese
  • ⅔ cup (7-ounce jar) pistachio butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar (remaining)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1¼ cups heavy cream, cold

Other Ingredients

  • 1 (7-ounce) package ladyfingers
  • ½ cup chopped pistachios for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Espresso Mixture: In a shallow dish, whisk the warm espresso with 1 tablespoon of pistachio butter and 2 tablespoons of sugar until well combined. Set aside and let it cool to room temperature for soaking the ladyfingers.
  2. Make Pistachio Mascarpone Cream: In a large bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese with the remaining pistachio butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. In a separate bowl, whip the chilled heavy cream to stiff peaks, then carefully fold it into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined and fluffy.
  3. Assemble the Tiramisu: Stir the cooled espresso mixture. Quickly dip each ladyfinger in the espresso mixture without soaking too long, and arrange them in a single layer at the bottom of an 8-inch square dish.
  4. Add Cream Layer: Spread half of the pistachio mascarpone cream evenly over the ladyfinger layer using a small offset spatula.
  5. Repeat Layers: Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers on top of the cream, followed by the remaining pistachio cream, smoothing the top evenly.
  6. Chill to Set: Cover the dish and refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight, to allow flavors to meld and the dessert to firm up.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Before serving, sprinkle the top generously with chopped pistachios for a crunchy, nutty finish.

Notes

  • Use freshly brewed espresso or very strong coffee for the best flavor.
  • Do not soak the ladyfingers too long in the espresso mixture, or they will become soggy.
  • For a more pronounced pistachio flavor, use high-quality pistachio butter and fresh chopped pistachios.
  • The tiramisu can be made a day ahead for convenience.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator and consume within 2 days for best freshness.
