Quick and Easy Resurrection Rolls are a delightful treat perfect for Easter or any time you crave a sweet, cinnamon-sugar coated pastry. These rolls are simple to prepare, wrapping gooey marshmallows inside crescent roll dough, then baking them to golden perfection with a buttery cinnamon-sugar glaze.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

Dough and Filling

  • 1 8-ounce package crescent rolls (such as Pillsbury)
  • 8 large marshmallows

Coating

  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare: Spray a baking dish (an 8×10-inch or pie dish works well) with non-stick spray and preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl and in a separate shallow bowl, combine the cinnamon and sugar.
  2. Press marshmallow in dough: Separate the crescent roll dough into 8 individual pieces. Dip each marshmallow in the melted butter, then roll it in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place one marshmallow in the center of each dough piece and wrap the dough around the marshmallow securely to form a sealed ball.
  3. Dip in butter and cinnamon/sugar: After wrapping, dip each dough ball again into the melted butter, then coat it thoroughly in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place the coated balls into the prepared baking dish, spacing them slightly apart.
  4. Bake: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure the marshmallow is completely enclosed by the dough to prevent leakage during baking.
  • You can use any crescent roll dough brand you prefer.
  • Serve warm for the best gooey texture.
  • These rolls can be enjoyed as a dessert or festive breakfast treat.
  • Use a non-stick spray or butter to grease the baking dish to prevent sticking.
