Ingredients
Butter Base
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (melted)
- 4 Garlic cloves (finely minced)
- 1 Shallot, small (finely minced)
Flavorings
- 1 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Lemon (juiced)
Herbs & Spices
- 2 tbsp Parsley (finely chopped)
- 2 tsp Thyme (finely chopped)
- 1 tbsp Fresh chives (finely chopped)
- 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Fresh ground black pepper
Instructions
- Melt the Butter: In a medium bowl, add the butter and place it in the microwave. Heat in 30-second increments until the butter is completely melted, ensuring it doesn’t burn.
- Infuse with Aromatics: Finely mince the garlic and shallot and add them to the warm melted butter. Stir to combine so the flavors seep into the butter.
- Add Tangy Elements: Whisk in the Dijon mustard, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce for brightness and depth of flavor.
- Incorporate Herbs and Spices: Finely chop the parsley, thyme, and fresh chives and add them to the mixture. Follow with smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper, then whisk all ingredients until thoroughly combined.
- Serve: Pour the sauce into ramekins to serve alongside grilled steak, or spoon it directly over your cooked meat for an extra burst of flavor.
Notes
- The sauce is best served warm alongside freshly grilled steaks.
- Adjust the red pepper flakes according to your heat preference.
- Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat gently before serving.
- Use fresh herbs for the best flavor impact.
