Ingredients
For the Mocktail
- 3-4 medium fresh strawberries
- 0.75 ounces lime juice
- 1 tablespoon honey (or agave syrup)
- 2 ounces orange juice
- Club soda, sparkling water, or ginger beer (to taste)
For the Glass
- Flaky salt (for rim)
- Ice cubes (as needed)
Instructions
- Rim Glass With Salt: Start by rimming a glass with flaky salt. To do this, moisten the rim of the glass with a wedge of lime or a little water and dip it into flaky salt until evenly coated. Then, fill the glass with ice to keep the mocktail chilled.
- Blend or Muddle Strawberries: Place the fresh strawberries into a blender or sturdy glass and either blend until smooth or muddle thoroughly to mash the berries evenly, releasing their juice and flavor.
- Mix Ingredients in Cocktail Shaker: Transfer the muddled strawberries into a cocktail shaker along with the lime juice, honey (or agave syrup), and orange juice. Add ice to the shaker and shake well to combine all the ingredients and chill the mixture.
- Pour Into Glass & Top With Soda: Strain or pour the mixed strawberry-lime juice into the prepared glass over the ice. Top off with club soda, sparkling water, or ginger beer according to your preference for fizz. Gently stir if needed, and enjoy your refreshing mocktail!
Notes
- You can substitute honey with agave syrup for a vegan-friendly option.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey/agave depending on your taste and the sweetness of your strawberries.
- Use freshly squeezed lime and orange juice for the best flavor.
- To make it extra cold, chill the glass before assembling the drink.
- For a more intense strawberry flavor, muddle the strawberries longer.
